Description

Solid cedar wood desk with two small drawers. Each drawer has two knobs and the desk legs are finely carved. The item was originally used as a piece of furniture in the Bar Robing room, located in the old Supreme Court building at North Quay. It sat in the middle of the room with lockers around the walls. Minor markings are spread across the lacquer surface of the desk and its legs, consistent with being used as a table where barristers' belongings would be placed whilst robing.
